On September 25, 2024, the South Korean K-pop girl group ILLIT graced the Paris Fashion Week to represent the brand Acne Studios, sparking mixed reactions from the fandom who had different opinions regarding their appearance. While some believed that the members had no "star quality" to be invited to such a prestigious fashion show, others believed that the members behaved with professionalism.

In the videos circulated on the internet, ILLIT members, including Yunah, Minju, Moka, Iroha, and Wonhee, wore different outfits and posed professionally in front of the media. However, in other clips, the members had a seemingly difficult time walking due to rain.

Subsequently, the videos drew mixed reactions, as the X user @twseggs tweeted, stating ILLIT has no star quality, and the post garnered over 65.9k likes and over 700 comments, at the time of writing. While some supported the user's comment, others believed that the netizens were being too harsh on the group.

"Sorry but these girls have no star quality."

As the harsh post regarding ILLIT's appearance at the Paris Fashion Week went viral on social media, the fandom defended the idol and left multiple positive comments.

"it hasn’t even been an year since they debuted, idk why kpoptwt is so obsessed with hating on these girls who’ve done nothing wrong," a user reacted.
"how yall expect the girls to walk in heels on an uneven pavement while it’s raining," a user shared.
"The last time someone says a group have no presence whatsoever later on become the biggest gg ever, so if you see this you're watching history," a user mentioned.

The fans who were not happy with ILLIT's presence, had different opinions and stated they had no charisma.

"Hybe so try hard these girls for Replace NewJeans. So, people call them NJ 2.0 Not suprise," a fan shared.
"they have absolutely no charisma it’s crazy," a fan reacted.
"it's not that they don't have any star quality, it's just that they really don't have anything unique to be noticed by the public eye. they need proper promotion where they can really show their unique sides," a fan commented.
