Stray Kids is set to perform with NSYNC for the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special. Billboard reported that during a CBS interview with host, Tetris, the K-pop band hinted at delivering a special 'tribute to boy bands' performance with NSYNC. The special ceremony will be aired on CBS and Paramount Plus on October 6 at 8 PM (ET).
CBS interviewer, Tetris, asked the K-pop boy band about their thoughts on other boy groups that have paved the way before them. In response, Stray Kids' Felix mentioned how NSYNC has been a catalyst in shaping the music industry.
"There are so many boy groups that paved the way. But also just like to perform, I mean, NSYNC also paved the way a lot. They showed a lot of culture. Just performing at the American Music Awards for the first time, and doing a collaboration with NSYNC was very memorable. It was very special. We were vibing, it was great," Felix said.
Fans noted how the interviewer repeatedly mentioned the word "marionettes," a hint to NSYNC's popular puppet-themed song, bye bye bye. The song was also featured in Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans conjectured that Stray Kids and NSYNC would partner up for the special stage performance at the 2024 AMAs.
One fan wrote on X,

They are all paving the way for their music to flourish. A variety of music from different cultures and histories. There's always something new going on." a fan wrote.
