On September 7, 2024, 2NE1's CL shared new pictures through her official Instagram handle featuring American singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams, BIGBANG's G-dragon, and YG Entertainment's producer Choice 37, leaving fans shocked.
In the fifth image of the latest update the female artist was spotted sitting in a studio, carrying a wide smile with Pharrell Williams. In another picture, 2NEL's CL and Pharrell Williams posed, embracing each other. While in the eighth image, BIGBANG's G-Dragon covered his face with a cap and stood in front of them.
The female artist also uploaded a few solo shots of herself in the first four pictures. In the sixth update, 2NE1's CL was seen enthusiastically taking a solo shot of the American singer and songwriter as he radiated a huge smile and was accompanied by the others present there.
Soon, 2NE1's latest update circulated on social media and went viral on the internet. Naturally, the fandom could not contain their excitement and speculated that the trio might be working on new music, and an Instagram user left the following comment under the female artist's post:
"OMG ARE YOU MAKING NEW MUSIC WITH PHARREL AND GD???? THAT'S GONNA NE SO DAMN GOOD."
As the fans saw 2NE1's latest Instagram post, they speculated that Yang Hyun-suk, the former CEO of YG Entertainment, must be there, and the female artist did not include him in the update. They also stated that YG Entertainment has always created legends and wondered if BABYMONSTER would visit CL's concert in the future.

2NE1's CL, also known as Lee Chae-rin, was born on February 26, 1991, in Seoul, South Korea. The South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter has been active in the entertainment industry since 2007. She has been associated with YG Entertainment, School Boy, SuneV, Very Cherry, and Konnect. The female artist rose to international and domestic recognition after debuting as a leader of the girl group 2NE1 in 2009.
Subsequently, 2NE1's CL made her debut as a soloist in May 2013 with the single The Baddest Female, followed by her solo track MTBD in February 2014.
