On 17 August 2024 model Wisdom Kaye posted a screenshot of a music app playing the South Korean boy band BTS's song Intro: Persona with the caption saying " My favorite BTS song." The Nigerian-American model/social media persona took to Instagram to share his admiration for the track.
Intro: Persona was made by BTS's leader RM as a solo track. After Wisdom Kaye shared the track on his Instagram story BTS fan, ARMY quickly took to social media to express their amazement and appreciation for him.

The track was RM's solo intro since Intro: What Am I To You from BTS's first studio album Dark & Wild. Written by RM himself along with Pdogg and Hiss Noise. In Intro: Persona, he talked about many 'Personas' within him and questioned his true identity.
The artist also talked about how, as a child, he wanted to be Superman, now when he had much power and recognition, he felt hesitant. He called it the shadow that kept glaring at him. It made him feel like he did not deserve any of it. However, he also said that he was not ashamed even if he felt like he had been lying to himself. He called it the map of his soul.
Intro: Persona came out on March 28, 2019, as a comeback trailer, which became their fastest comeback trailer to surpass 20 million views.
It then came out digitally on April 12, 2019, in the extended version of the 2019 album Map of the Soul: Persona. Intro: Persona was the first track in the sixth mini-album. Later the song was also included as the first song in BTS's 2020 studio album Map of the Soul: 7.
BTS announced their temporary break from group activities in 2022 because of the band members' mandatory military enlistment with promises to reunite in 2025.
