BTS leader RM garnered attention for his grand saxophone performance at Jin's military discharge. Leaving fans and netizens in shock, the singer played BTS’ hit track Dynamite on a saxophone to welcome Jin. On Wednesday, June 12, BTS’ Jin completed his military service at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. Jin received a warm welcome from his fellow group members with hugs and bouquets.

Multiple reporters captured RM playing the saxophone to celebrate Jin's return. The clips and videos started circulating on social media as fans were excited to see their favorite idol return. RM’s saxophone performance led to fans making memes on X about the leader and the saxophone. The netizens highlighted that this made many fans laugh and were emotional at seeing Jin come back.

BTS’ Jin returns from the military, welcomed by fellow group members RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook

The singer began his military service in December 2022 and concluded his national duties as an active-duty soldier on June 12, marking his official return. According to the South Korean media outlet Dispatch, Five members of the septet, including RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, visited the site. Meanwhile, according to Dispatch, Suga, who is serving as a social service agent, was not at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon.

Jin greeted the fans officially through the Weverse LIVE stream while talking about some achievements and memories he made while serving in the military. The BTS vocalist also revealed his excitement for the upcoming FESTA 2024 events, including the meet and greet.

Surprising many netizens, Suga made his first appearance online after his enlistment in September 2023. Jin shared a photo with the members on the official X page of the group where Suga was also spotted, although he hid his face behind a mask. Breaking the internet with an all-seven member photo, the septet reunited at the HYBE office posing for a picture together.


FESTA 2024

Jin is to lead the 2024 FESTA event at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul on Thursday, June 13, 2024, which marks the 11th debut anniversary of BTS. Given the members serving in the military, fans won't be unattended during the 11th debut anniversary, as Jin will meet fans in person through two major events during the FESTA.

During the meet and greet event which is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. KST, the singer will greet fans through light hugs and handshakes. The second event called Message from Jin: June 13, 2024, will start at 8 p.m. KST and will stream live on Weverse for the fans who have membership.
