BTS’ Jin's Super Tuna extended version reached number 1 on iTunes charts in 50 countries, garnering varied reactions from fans online. On October 11, 2024, the BTS member dropped the track on various music service platforms including iTunes, and the music video for the same was released on YouTube.
Super Tuna, a fun song about fishing and catching a Tuna, went viral among netizens. Many fans also engaged with the song and danced to its official choreography on social media by calling it the Super Tuna Challenge. Previously, on October 10, a few hours before the song's release, Jin started a Weverse Live video session.
Jin requested fans to enjoy the song quietly and not let it trend, like the original version trended in December 2021. The BTS vocalist explained that this was a special release for ARMYs only and that he was a bit embarrassed by the comical references in the music video.
He said:
“Please don't spread it. There's no challenge. Please don't make a challenge. It'll be nice if you just watch and enjoy it. To be honest I watched the video and I was a bit embarrassed aha.”
After Super Tuna topped the Worldwide iTunes Songs Charts and the European iTunes Songs Charts, fans could not hold back their laughter as they could not fulfill Jin's wish. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on this musical achievement made by Jin's solo song.
"Oops did we do that, Sorry not sorry Jin," a fan said.
“NOT IT BEING NUMBER WHEN SEOKJIN SAID NOT TO CHART IT. JIN, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR DELETING PT. 1,” a fan mentioned.

Netizens also mentioned the influence the BTS vocalist had on his fans and music listeners.

“A two year old song with new verse, announced barely 16 hours ago before its release on a live, no pre save link, no promotions, armys didn't even know if the release date is actually oct 11 or not, debuted at number one on worldwide itunes chart,” a fan said.
Fans continued to share hilarious reactions to Super Tuna topping the international chart.
“Jin begging armys not to be goofy and spread the song and just listen among each other. Armys: (Only armys can match jin's freak),” a user stated
