Pachinko 2 will narrate the poignant tale of love and survival across four generations

Pachinko 2 will continue to follow the story of season 1, where the lead protagonist Sunja, will narrate the poignant tale of love and survival across the four generations, from 1915 to 1989, who survived the turbulent period of war and peace.

Experiencing different periods in Korea, Japan, and the United States, Sunja's survival will be depicted through the series. In 1931, Sunja departed from her homeland, South Korea, which was occupied by Japanese rule, and moved to Koreatown of Osaka, Japan, to start a new life with her husband, Isak.

Season 2 will consist of eight episodes. It will run from August 23, 2024, to October 11, 2024, with the release of one episode every week on Friday. It is created and penned by Soo Hugh, who acts as an executive producer alongside Media Res' Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer and Blue Marble Pictures' Theresa Kang.
