Park Ji-hoon is reportedly set to star as the lead in the historical film The Man Who Lives With The King. The singer-actor will be sharing the big screen with actor Yoo Hai-jin, whose casting was confirmed in July 2024.
Park has joined an illustrious ensemble, including Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Jun-hyuk. The cast is scheduled to start filming for the movie early next year, where Ji-hoon will portray King Danjong, the sixth king of Joseon.

Park Ji-hoon will lead the film as King Danjong, the sixth king of Joseon. The Man Who Lives With The King narrates the story of King Danjong after he was exiled to Yeongwol, Gangwon-do. The movie will be directed by Jang Hang-jun, who has made a name for himself through directing and screenwriting but is challenging himself with a historical drama for the first time.
Yoo Hai-jin will adorn the title role of the man living with the king, the other lead in the movie. Along with Park Ji-hoon and Yoo Hai-jin, actor Yoo Ji-tae will also be starring in this period film. Further, 365: Repeat the Year actor Lee Jun-hyuk is reportedly set to make a special appearance.
Unlike Ji-hoon, Yoo Hai-jin, Yoo Ji-tae, and Lee Jun-hyuk's appearance in the movie was confirmed earlier this year in July. This fresh combination is raising curiosity and anticipation among the audience. Park Ji-hoon, who is soon to make his big screen debut in October 2024, will be joining an experienced and illustriuos cast.
Additionally, Yoo Ji-tae, who has been active on TV and OTT recently, will be returning to the big screen after a long period of time. He will be starring in a historical film for the first time in 17 years since Hwang Jin-i (2007). In general, he will be making a comeback on the big screen after five years since Money (2019).
The highly anticipated film is produced by BA Entertainment, which has created mega-hits such as Casino and The Outlaws series. It will further be distributed by Showbox, which released The Exorcist with 10 million viewers.

Born on May 29, 1999, Ji-hoon was initially active as a child actor and advertisement model. He then rose to fame in 2017, after securing second place in the second season of the reality competition series Produce 101, which resulted in the formation of the boy group Wanna One.
He debuted with Wanna One on August 7, 2017, alongside 11 members, including Kang Daniel, Hwang Min-hyung, Ong Seong-wu, Lee Dae-hwi, and more. The group disbanded after their contracts ended on December 31, 2018.
Following the end of Wanna One's activities, the Wing singer made his solo debut on March 26, 2019, with an EP, titled O'Clock. Over the years, he has released multiple EPs, including My Collection, Hot&Cold, The Answer, Blank or Black, etc.
He has also worked in various K-dramas and web series, such as Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Love Song for Illusion, and Love Revolution. Further, Ji-hoon received overwhelming praise from critics and online communities for his lead role in the 2022 K-drama Weak Hero Class 1. The actor-singer is now set to make his big screen debut in October 2024, with the film Audrey.
