Actress Park Min-young attended 'KCON LA 2024' in Los Angeles, USA, last month and discussed her plans to explore opportunities in Hollywood. As reported by Ten Asia publication on August 10, working with different talented directors is something she would look forward to.

On July 27, at KCON LA Park Min-young hosted the Park Min Young Special Fan Meeting: Marry My Husband. The celebrity talked about her favorite K-pop songs, behind-the-scenes photos from her K-drama shoots, and other topics.

During the fan meeting, Park Min-young was questioned by the MC over her plans to pursue a career in Hollywood. In reply, Park Min-young said:

"It would be such an honor to advance into Hollywood. It would be an opportunity to work with talented producers and actors from all over the world. I want to challenge myself with a role that allows me to explore various genres and characters." .

Following the interview, LA supporters played a variety of games. To get to know her followers better, the actress personally suggested music, engaged in dice games, and snapped pictures.

Min-young also reflected on the iconic moments from the drama Marry My Husband, recalling how her co-star Na In-woo’s height made filming a judo scene challenging yet fun, with him repeatedly jumping over her. Despite her athletic abilities and love for sports, particularly golf, she now mostly watches it on TV.

Min-young also shared her excitement about BTS’s Spring Day being chosen as the insert song, even singing a verse herself. She expressed initial concerns about viewers understanding the timeline but was pleased with their grasp. Behind-the-scenes insights on casting and the drama's success were also discussed.


Park Min-young gears up for the filming of her new project, The Confidence Man

Park Min-young's next project, The Confidence Man, which also stars Joo Jong-hyuk, and Park Hee-sun, is anticipated to begin filming at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2025. The drama is highly anticipated since it will present a Korean twist on the well-known Japanese series of the same name.

Nam Ki-hoon, who has directed films like Destined with You, Oh My Baby, Big Bet, and Tunnel, will be directing the drama. The series will be written by Hong Seung-hyun, who has previously worked on Cheo Yong and Criminal Minds.

It was also disclosed that there would be twelve episodes in the Korean version. The actress discussed her involvement in the drama and disclosed that it is a role she has never done before, at the 2024 KCON LA. The actress claims that her character has a wild and rugged side.
