On December 30, the South Korean media outlet Maeil Business Star Today reported that comedian Park Na-rae donated to the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash through the local government. As per the publication, she asked the authorities to use the amount to help the individuals affected by the fatal accident.
For those unversed, Jeju Air flight 7C2217, which departed from Bangkok (Thailand) for Muan International Airport, crashed on December 29, 2024. The incident happened at 9:03 am when it hit the airport's runway wall during the landing.
According to reports, only two crew members survived out of 181 people who were on the flight. The 179 people onboard lost their lives as the front part of the airplane was completely damaged during the accident.

On December 29, 2024, Park Na-rae took to her official Instagram account @wooju1025 where she offered condolences to the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash. She shared a picture of a white chrysanthemum with the caption Rest in Peace on the photo.
Meanwhile, it was not the first time, the South Korean comedian Park Na-rae extended help to individuals who were the victims of the fatal accidents. Previously, she donated 10 million Korean won to the people affected by the 2022 South Korean floods. She made contributions through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
For those unversed, the 39-year-old Park Na-rae was born on October 25, 1985, in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province, South Korea. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 2006. She attended Anyang Arts High School and subsequently graduated from Sangmyung University.
The female artist officially debuted at the Gag concert as a comedienne in 2006. She went on to publish a book entitled, Welcome to Narae Bar in 2018. She also dropped a Netflix stand-up comedy special, Park Na-rae: Glamour Warning, in 2019. Hence, she emerged as the first Korean female comedian to release such a project.
Throughout the comedian's career, she won many accolades for her work. It included the Best Newcomer Award for Music/Talk Show, Comedian Award, Excellence Award in Variety Show under Female Category, Best Variety Performer, Mobile Icon Award, and other honors.
She has appeared in several programs, such as Plus Nine Boys, Modern Farmer, The South of Your Heat, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, Comedy Big League, My Little Television, I Can See Your Voice, and other shows.
The South Korean Government and authorities have officially declared seven days of national mourning in the light of the Jeju Plane crash. The acting, President Choi Sang-mok, also announced an extensive investigation into the accident. Additionally, he also ordered an emergency check of the nation's complete airline safety system.
