On Thursday, October 3, the Marie Claire X BIFF Asia Star Awards 2024 was conducted at the Haeundae Paradise Hotel in Busan. The award ceremony is created as part of the 29th Busan International Film Festival that's currently ongoing.
The Asia Star Awards honored excellence across the South Korean and Asian film industry in the past year. Some of the winners of this year's Marie Claire X BIFF Asia Star Awards are Park Seo-joon, who received the Asia Star Award, and TWICE's Dahyun, who was presented with the Rising Star Award.

In the previous year, Park Seo-joon contributed to a total of three movies, one of which belonged to the American film industry. Dream, Concrete Utopia, Gyeongseong Creature 2, and The Marvels were among his recent works. TWICE's Dahyun, on the other hand, made her debut in the acting industry with the independent film, Sprint, which was released in May 2024.
In addition to the main award, the Asia Star Award, the Marie Claire X BIFF Asia Star Awards 2024 had a total of nine categories.

The 29th Busan International Film Festival commenced on Wednesday, October 2, and will continue until, Friday, October 11. The film festival is annually conducted in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, and is considered to be one of the grandest and most significant film festivals in Asia.
It rolled out its first edition in 1996 and stands as the first international film festival in Korea. The goal of BIFF, the Busan International Film Festival, is to introduce new films and fresh directors to the industries. It also focuses largely on its appeal to young people.
This is in terms of the young audience it gathers and the promotion and platform it provides for the youth to flourish. This year's BIFF holds an intriguing set of screenings in the coming days of the film festival. Some of the exciting movies, dramas, and documentary screenings include RM's Right People Wrong Place, A Normal Family, Hear Me: Our Summer, A Girl With Closed Eyes, etc.
On the other hand, on October 2, the opening ceremony of BIFF 2024 was held. Several South Korean actors including TWICE's Dahyun, Song Joong-ki, Ji Chang-wook, and more graced the event's red carpet. The actors, Park Bo-young and Ahn Jae-hong hosted the opening ceremony together.
