On July 12, South Korean media outlet Starnews reported that BTS swept the mid-year Global K-Pop chart for 2024 with 35 songs, leaving ARMYs proud on social media. Released by Circle Chart, the Global K-pop Chart recorded that BTS charted cumulatively 35 tracks in both group and solo categories in the first half of this year.
Nine BTS songs entered the chart: Dynamite, Butter, Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey), Fake Love, Spring Day, Run Bulletproof, Permission to Dance, Life Goes On, and Take Two. The members' recent solo tracks have also been dominating the Global K-pop Chart. Jungkook, the youngest member of the group, has charted 13 songs. Ten songs were from his first solo album, Golden, alongside Still With You, Never Let Go, and Standing Next to You - USHER Remix.
Meanwhile, BTS Kim Taehyung dominated the chart with his tracks Slow Dancing, Love Me Again, Rainy Days, and FRI(END)S. Jimin ruled the Global K-pop chart with songs such as Like Crazy, Set Me Free Pt.2, and Closer Than This, while RM charted songs LOST!, Come Back to Me, and Wild Flower. Suga's Haegeum, Jin's The Astronaut, and j-hope's Neuron secured their places on the music chart, while Suga and PSY's collaborative track That That also entered the chart.
Soon, BTS's latest milestone of having 35 songs on the Global K-pop chart in the first half of 2024 circulated on social media and went viral among ARMYs. An X user stated that the septet has always paved the way and tweeted:

They also noted that during the first half of 2024, all the members were enlisted for their mandatory military service, and despite their absence, the group continued to dominate the music charts.

Recent activities of BTS members
Kim Namjoon recently released his second solo studio album, Right Place, Wrong Person, on May 24, 2024, through Bighit Music. It marked the rapper's first work after enlistment. He was enlisted for mandatory conscription on December 11, 2023, alongside Kim Taehyung. The record, Right Place, Wrong Person, featured LOST! as the title track, and it debuted at number five on the Billboard 200.
Suga enlisted for mandatory military service on September 22, 2023. The idol was recently spotted in an OT7 picture on June 12, 2024, alongside the other members of the group who gathered together to commemorate Jin's discharge. BTS j-hope joined the military on April 18, 2023, and Bighit Music released a docuseries, Hope on the Street, in March 2023 with a special album, Hope on the Street Vol 1. Jimin and Jungkook enlisted for military service on December 12, 2023.
Following his enlistment, Jimin released a digital single, Closer Than This, as a tribute to fans on December 22, 2023. Jungkook also released a fan song, Never Let Go, to commemorate the group's eleventh anniversary on June 7, 2024, through BigHit Music. The duo will be featured in the upcoming travel variety show Are You Sure?!, scheduled for release on August 8, 2024, through Disney+.
Jimin will release his second solo album, Muse, on July 19, 2024, through Bighit Music at 1 pm KST. Meanwhile, Kim Taehyung was featured in IU's Love Wins All music video released on January 24, 2024, following his enlistment, and he released his digital single FRI(END)S on March 15, 2024. Meanwhile, his photobook TYPE 1 was released on July 1, 2024.
Jin departed for his 2024 Paris Olympics schedule on July 11, 2024, from Incheon International Airport. He will represent the South Korean delegation as a torchbearer.
