Perfect Family episode 11 recap: How did Jin-hyuk and Eun-ju end up adopting Sun-hui?

Perfect Family premiered on KBS2 on August 14, 2024, and quickly gained attention with its gripping and suspenseful storyline. The drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 pm KST, with streaming available on Viki and Viu in certain regions.

Perfect Family stars Kim Byung-chul as Choi Jin-hyuk, Yoon Se-ah as Ha Eun-ju, and Park Ju-hyun as Choi Seon-hae. Directed by Yukisada Isao, it is adapted from the popular webtoon by Nyangpa and Joo Eun. The plot of Perfect Family follows Choi Jin-hyuk, his wife Ha Eun-ju, and their daughter Sun-hui, whose seemingly perfect lives unravel when they get entangled in a murder case.

Perfect Family episode 11: The truth behind Sang-ho's death

Episode 11 of Perfect Family begins with Hyeon-min picking Sang-ho from his school. He asks him to look after Sun-hui in his office since he has to run a few errands. As the two are busy playing video games, he spikes their apple juice and brings it to them.

Eun-ju tries to call Sang-ho on his cell, but he does not answer. Worried, she calls Jin-hyuk, who tells her not to worry. Just then, a member of the gang that was scammed by Hyeon-min shows up at Jin-hyuk's office and lets him know that Hyeon-min has been impersonating him as a prosecutor. Hyeon-min takes away Sang-ho's phone now that he and Sun-hui have fallen unconscious.

The police catch Hyeon-min in his office and arrest him, but they are unable to locate Sang-ho. In the police station, Hyeon-min asks Jin-hyuk to save him if he wants to rescue Sang-ho. Enraged, Jin-hyuk attacks him but is pulled away by the police officers who inform him that Sang-ho's phone was found with Hyeon-min and that his last location was the office.

Jin-hyuk remembers that while they searched his house, a cabinet was placed wrongly. They immediately leave for the office, taking Eun-ju, who had arrived at the police station.

While all this is happening, Sang-ho is awake and switches on the light, unknowingly starting a fire in the process. As the smoke starts getting into the room, he finds a small window and helps Sun-hui get out first. He then tries to escape by opening a bigger window. Just then, containers of highly flammable liquid catch fire.

On their way to the office, Jin-hyuk and Eun-ju are informed that the office has caught fire. The office is ablaze by the time they reach there, and Eun-ju breaks down in tears. The firemen rescue Sun-hui, who has fainted, but Sang-ho could not be saved.

After Hyeon-min is arrested, questions about his sentence being affected by Jin-hyuk are raised. Eun-ju, curious about Sun-hui, goes to check on her. While Jin-hyuk is a little skeptical about raising Hyeon-min's daughter, Eun-ju believes they should take care of the life Sang-ho saved. They then decide to adopt Sun-hui.

Perfect Family episode 11 then brings viewers to the present again, where the police find Su-yeon injured in the building, and Jin-hyuk, who had fallen into the sea, receives a floating tube thrown at him.

After the incident, Sun-hui and Hyun-woo go grocery shopping. When Hyun-woo proposes that they stay together, Sun-hui thanks him for everything and leaves. In the burnt house where Sun-hui and her parents used to live, she cleans the dining table and cooks dinner.

When Jin-hyuk and Eun-ju arrive, they see a cake that Sun-hui got to celebrate Sang-ho's birthday. They sit down to eat, and Sun-hui serves them seaweed soup with trembling hands. The duo shares a glance before eating.

Hyun-woo recalls their last conversation and senses that something might be wrong with Sun-hui. Back at the house, Jin-hyuk and Eun-ju are unconscious and Hyeon-min is revealed to have planned it. This marks the end of episode 11 of Perfect Family.
