On July 22, 2024, BTS Jimin's MUSE Jacket Shoot Sketch video was released on the band's official YouTube channel, BANGTANTV. The video captured the behind-the-scenes footage of the South Korean musician's album concept photoshoot.

The BTS idol mentioned adding Smeraldo flower as the main element in his album concept photoshoot. He aimed to evoke memories of BTS using the keyword "Smeraldo flower" during The Truth Untold era to interact with their fandom, ARMY, in the past. The fictional flower was used as mise-en-scène for the photoshoot.

For the unversed, the Smeraldo flower is a fictional flower discovered by BTS in 2013 to represent the band. Meanwhile, in the MUSE Jacket Shoot Sketch video, Jimin mentioned being curious to know his fans' reactions once the pictures and album were released.

He playfully asked ARMY to misunderstand the concept and said,

"And the music also gave an opportunity to show you something new. So I really enjoyed preparing it for all of you. That's why I'm so curious what your reactions will be. I hope it brings you lots of misunderstandings and fun. I think that'll happen once the album is released! Just a feeling! Please get the wrong idea."

BTS' Jimin gives ARMY a glimpse into his playful album photoshoot for MUSE

BTS' Park Jimin released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024, along with the official MV of its title track, WHO. Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes footage of the Grammy-nominated singer showed the creative process while shooting for the concept photos in the latest video.

Jimin revealed that while writing and composing Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, he intended to incorporate his happy thoughts and feelings. He added that he wrote his feelings into letters for ARMY and converted them into 7 songs for his album.

In addition, he explained that the inclusion of Closer Than This as the final track in MUSE addressed the central query of the album, "Who is my heart waiting for?" Jimin went on to say that he wanted ARMY to understand how much he valued and loved them.

Closer Than This was previously released on December 22, 2023, as a digital single. The song was the artist's farewell message to his fans after he enlisted in the military on December 12, 2023. The track speaks about his longing to meet ARMY and perform for them. Later, it was included in MUSE as one of the two pre-release singles.

Additionally, the title track, WHO, entered No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart across 112 countries within 24 hours of its release. MUSE also topped the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart across 63 countries on July 19, including the United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, the United States, and France, among others.
