Ha Sungwoon will host Project 7
The directorial team of Project 7 consists of several well-known figures. Ryan Jhun, the producer of hits like After Like and Lucifer, will serve as music director. He will focus on developing the musical abilities of the trainees.
Ha Sungwoon, a former member of Wanna One, will be the vocal director of Project 7. He will mentor the contestants based on his own audition program experience.
Creative director Lee Haein will also be part of the team. She is known for producing the idol group, Kiss of Life. RyuD, a leader in Korea’s dance scene, will oversee dance training. He is joined by Street Woman Fighter 2 winner Bada, who has worked with top K-pop groups.
Actor Lee Soo-hyuk will host Project 7. This will be his first time as an MC for an audition program.
Project 7 will introduce a unique format. Viewers will actively participate in the selection process and play a key role in the show. They will form teams and help their chosen contestants grow.
They will vote at live performances and through the JTBC website. These “World Assemblers” will help shape the competition and decide the final lineup.
This is a departure from traditional K-pop audition shows where fans mostly vote. Producers are confident that the show’s fresh format and experienced directors will create a standout idol group.
Project 7 will air on JTBC from October 18, 2024, at 8:50 pm KST.
