On Friday, November 29, the eighth episode of the reality boy group survival show Project 7 was released. During the same, 35 out of the remaining 70 contestants were eliminated after the second round of evaluation, the Rival Match. The Rival Match split the 70 contestants into five teams, from A1 to A5, each holding 14 contestants.

The 14 contestants were again split into two groups under each team. Therefore, the two groups under each team competed against each other. The teams, A1 to A5, had their two groups performing different songs from the same K-pop artists like Stray Kids, MONSTA X, NCT, etc. Following all the performances, the winners of each team and their points were revealed.

While these events took place during the sixth and seventh episodes of Project 7, following the same, the results of the second global voting were released in the latest episode. Akin to the first episode, rank 1 was a close call between the two trainees, Jeon Min-wook and Sakurada Kenshin as they scored 3,396,154 and 3,393,536 points respectively. This was also due to both contestants gaining a total of 70,000 benefit points for winning the Rival Match.

Project 7 is a reality boy group survival show organized by JTBC. The show aims to create a seven-piece global K-pop boy group, and what makes it different from the other reality shows is its voting system.
