On Friday, October 18, the first two episodes of the latest JTBC reality survival show, Project 7, were released. The show gathered a total of 200 contestants from around the world. However, the show continued with only 199 after the departure of one contestant, Jung Jo-han.
Regardless, following the initial round of evaluation, only 100 contestants will be moving forward with the rest of the survival show's episodes. The show, hosted by South Korean model and actor Lee Soo-hyuk, is dedicated to creating a seven-piece K-pop global boy group. On the other hand, the judges' lineup is also quite impressive.
The artists on the panel for Project 7 include Miyeon, Moon Byul, Lee Dae Hwi, Woo Hyun, Hui, Yoo Hwe-seung, and Shin Yumi. Additionally, Ryan Jhun, Lee Hae-in, Ha Sung-woon, RYUD, and Bada Lee will also pitch in as the show's directors, guiding the contestants on a multitude of skills, such as vocals, dance, performance, and more.
The voting process for Project 7 is slightly different from that of other survival shows. Fans can vote through the Weverse app and there are two kinds of votes that the viewers can cast. One is the Individual vote where fans get to vote for their favorite contestants. The other is the Assembly vote where fans can pick 14 trainees to form teams for each of the upcoming rounds.
Following the release of the first two episodes, fans have been excited to see what the show has in store for them. The show holds a lot of familiar faces who either participated in earlier survival shows or were a part of former K-pop boy groups. While fans are thrilled to see if these familiar faces will make it to their debut, they are also excited to watch the new talents showcase their impressive skills.
