On December 24, 2024, JYP Entertainment disclosed that Stray Kids' Bang Chan donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea to support athletes with disabilities. The idol's donation was displayed on JYP Entertainment's Every Dream Matters (EDM) (Stray Kids Cookie Clip), which premiered on their official YouTube channel the same day.

Subsequently, Bang Chan's latest act circulated on social media and went viral among the fandom. Many expressed their pride in the male idol, and an X user tweeted:

"Bang Chan's donation is a beautiful reminder that real heroes make a difference in the world."

Many fans also noted that Stray Kids' Bang Chan's recent gesture was especially thoughtful, considering that his family owns a swimming training center for individuals with disabilities. Some also referred to him as generous and kind.

"100 million won for athletes with disabilities. Bang Chan proves that his heart is as big as his talent," a fan reacted.

More about Stray Kids' Bang Chan's philanthropic activities

Bang Chan started taking the initiative in philanthropic activities in 2021. He began donations through JYP Entertainment's Every Dream Matters initiative with TWICE's Sana and founder Park Jin-young. The scheme promoted charitable projects related to children fighting incurable and terminal illnesses.

Subsequently, he delivered electrifying performances with the unit 3RACHA at the yearly Global Citizen Festival in August 2023. Through the event, he advocated for social change and the eradication of poverty. In addition, the male artist attended W Korea's breast cancer awareness campaign at the Love Your W Charity event in October 2024.


In recent news, Stray Kids' Bang Chan released their special album, Hop, through JYP Entertainment on December 13, 2024.
