LE SSERAFIM's Yunjin came online on Weverse on September 8 and held an hour-long livestream. She touched upon topics like cyberbullying, leaving hate comments on an idol's profile, and more. A day before, the Antifragile vocalist wrote a lengthy letter on Weverse, addressing cyberbullying and feeling the constant pressure of maintaining a certain body type, and more.
Meanwhile, in her latest livestream, she emphasized how there's a "law" and a "principle in the universe" to do the right things.
"It gets so easy to be all cynical, like snarky and sly, because that's what gets you the most engagements. But there's a law, a principle in the universe, and what's true, just, and right will always get the last laugh in the end," she said.
FEARNOTs (the official fandom name of LE SSERAFIM) were moved by the K-pop idol's statement. One X user wrote,
"I wanna have the last laugh with Yunjin! Really brave words from a young artist."
The LE SSERFIM idol's clip went viral on social media and FEARNOTs rallied behind it. They agreed to her every word about ignoring hateful comments left by others and not giving them any engagement. Several fans underscored that the hate directed towards the rookie girl group from HYBE has been "unnecessary."
"Yunjin’s words during her live are powerful and inspiring. Staying true and just might not always be the easiest path, but it’s definitely the most rewarding," one fan wrote.
"I too think the hate towards lsrfm was forced and unnecessary, love them for having this mindset, they’d go places, and they are!" another fan added.
"Yunjin’s live message is a refreshing reminder that staying true to what’s right is always the best path. Genuine values will shine through in the end," one other fan stated.
Others lauded Yunjin and her band members for displaying resilience in the face of adversity and constant cyberbullying.
"She’s so right actually because many miserable people hide behind anonymous profile pictures and usernames and feel way too comfortable hating and picking people apart to a level that’s so dehumanizing and so out of touch," one fan added to the discussion.
"They’re so amazing and strong honestly. I can’t imagine how much it takes to go through that and still say it’s okay we’re strong minded people and be so positive, mad respect love them," another fan wrote.
"Love that for them. I hope fearnots stop bringing attention to hate posts. If the girls say they are strong enough to not let that affect them, we shouldnt get affected by the hate too," another fan commented.
US Court approves HYBE's plea to access private data of accused who spread malicious content about LE SSERAFIM
HYBE subsidiary, Source Music—the label of LE SSERAFIM—made a strong statement against cyberbullying directed against the group on June 7, 2024. An X user posted hurtful remarks about the EASY girl group and later came forward to apologize after the agency filed a lawsuit.
On August 20, 2024, HYBE Labels was given permission by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to access personal information regarding two YouTubers charged with slandering the girl group LE SSERAFIM. Intending to pursue criminal action, HYBE first requested access to the YouTubers' personal information from the Northern California District Court in June 2024.
However, the court turned down the motion, stating that investigators, not the victims, should file a request for accessing the private identification data of the accused. HYBE filed another lawsuit in July 2024 to shield its artists from harmful internet activity with this development, which was finally approved in August 2024.
LE SSERAFIM dropped their latest mini-album, CRAZY, on August 30, 2024.
