BLACKPINK's Lisa released the music video for her new single, New Woman, featuring Rosalía, on August 16 at 9 a.m. KST. The BLACKPINK rapper became the first K-pop female soloist to surpass six million streams on Spotify on the song's debut.
The video highlights the potent chemistry between these two international stars, who seemingly play the "yin and yang" phases of one another. This is the Thai rapper's second solo single release under LLOUD, which she founded on February 7, 2024. New Woman marked her first collaboration with a Western artist.

Meanwhile, her fans were thrilled for her new achievement and flooded X (formerly Twitter) with celebratory tweets. One fan wrote,

Admirers lauded the Thai K-pop rapper for her newest accomplishment after her comeback single, ROCKSTAR, which she released on June 28, 2024.
"She also make history as the first female k-pop soloist to have a decrease in her old song with a new release and also 386K+ decrease in Monthly Listeners even after releasing a song with 114M+ playlisting in 6 hours," one fan wrote.

LLOUD's CEO Lisa sets new music records with New Woman (feat. Rosalía)
The official account of the World Music Awards reported that Lisa's New Woman entered the Global Digital Artist Top 20 Chart at #19 as of August 18, 2024. The track also trended at #1 Worldwide on YouTube for a consecutive second day, with over 35 Million views since its release.
According to the World Music Awards, she also became the first artist to earn the most viewed music video over the past 48 hours after achieving the biggest debut on YouTube for a collaborated single in 2024.
The song entered at No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song chart in 35 countries, including Argentina, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Singapore, El Salvador, Estonia, Guatemala, Norway, and India. However, New Woman entered at #2 on the US iTunes chart and No. 3 on the iTunes Worldwide Song chart overall.
In other news, Lisa ended her solo artist contract with YG Entertainment in December 2023. After debuting as a BLACKPINK member under the company in 2016, the Thai rapper only renewed her group contract with them. She launched her company, LLOUD, in February 2024 and signed a partnership with RCA Records.
The partnership with the American music label gives Lisa complete rights over her music and creative creation. She also became the new global ambassador for Louis Vuitton on July 23, 2024.
