Written and directed by Choi Yoon-jung and Park Hong-kyun, Red Swan is a romantic vengeance drama that centres on the complicated connection between a former golf star and her new bodyguard. In the 7th episode of Red Swan, Oh Hyun-soo got arrested. Wan-soo visited him in the interrogation room, where Hyun-soo assured her not to worry. Later, Hyun-soo proposed a deal to Sang-i: he would provide a list of accounts under false names if he is granted bail and access to his own accounts.
Hyun-soo suspected Yong-min of setting him up, but Sang-i tried to blame Do-yoon. It turned out Yong-min is indeed responsible and had the plan to inherit Hwain instead of Yong-guk.
Mi-ran met Wan-soo and Sang-i and asked her about her relationship with Do-yoon. She wanted to know about the stolen ledgers since they suspected Do-yoon to have gone to the prosecutors about it. Wan-soo told her that she was the one who had put Do-yoon to the task since she wanted more information about NOW Foundation since it was going international.
Mi-ran got furious. She asked Sang-i to get Do-yoon killed since he now has information about the company. Wan-soo protested and told them that she would fetch the ledgers from him. Meanwhile, Sang-i warned Do-yoon to be careful.
In Red Swan, Wan-soo and Do-yoon went for a run, where Wan-soo asked him to prove that the person who killed her friend was also after her. She requested the return of the ledgers, which had become dangerous. Do-yoon agreed to protect them and revealed that the ledgers show all accounts traced back to Mi-ran, clearing her of suspicion.
In this episode, Tae-ra’s mother leaked details about the NOW Foundation embezzlement case to the public to help her daughter. Sang-i suggested Wan-soo should resign to create a bigger public spectacle, possibly by exposing her affair.
Mi-ran sent Wan-soo to Busan to have a photoshoot with her Yong-guk. In a flashback, the chairman told Sang-i that his will would be revealed on his 70th birthday.
Sang-i met Ailee from the law firm and tried to lure her into spilling information about the will in return for an extra 1% commission but she refused and hinted that NOW will have big money coming in.
In Busan, Do-yoon took Wan-soo to a lighthouse along the beach to catch some fresh air. However, someone was clicking their pictures. At night, Do-yoon went out to check. Just then, the assassin attacked Wan-soo but Do-yoon protected her. He fought with the assassin as Wan-soo escaped.
Episode 7 ended with Do-yoon getting injured and the assassin chasing after Wan-soo. She hid inside a boat. The assassin found Wan-soo but Do-yoon was there to save her again.
Red Swan Episode 8 Recap: Yong-guk confronts Miran
In the 8th episode of Red Swan, the assassin and Do-yoon fought and Do-yoon threw her into the sea. He started the boat to save himself and Wan-soo and they came out to the sea. On the boat, he promised Wan-soo that he would always protect her and they shared a kiss.
The next day, Wan-soo woke up to find Yong-guk by her bedside. She told him about the attack, and they went to a shoot, where Yong-guk noticed the tension between Do-yoon and Wan-soo.
After the shoot, Wan-soo asked Yong-guk if Yong-min was born out of wedlock, as Mi-ran seemed to dislike him. Yong-guk confirmed that the chairman also hated Yong-min and discussed his father's death.
On the news, it was revealed that Mi-ran’s "Water of Life" was a scam. Angered, Mi-ran rushed to expose Wan-soo's affair to distract from her scandal and planned for Wan-soo to divorce Yong-guk to remove her from the inheritance.
Upon the release of the pictures and the news, Yong-guk confronted Mi-ran. He refused to divorce Wan-soo. He blamed Mi-ran for not being able to express his love the right way for the one woman he loved, which is Wan-soo. He had seen his mother cheating on his father when he was a kid. Meanwhile, Tae-ra was outside the room, eavesdropping. Yong-guk was devastated and started drinking. Tae-ra realizing she is not valued by anyone in the family, left the house with Jun-hee.
Hyun-soo was released and Sang-i asked him to get the ledgers from Do-yoon. Hyun-soo confronted Do-yoon about dating his sister and asked him to get him the ledgers. Do-yoon revealed that information in the ledgers led to Mi-ran and asked him what deal he made with Sang-i.
Do-yoon found evidence that linked Yong-min to Sang-i at Sang-i's house. Yong-guk met Sang-i and accused him of killing his father. He told him that Mi-ran hated Yong-min since she always looked at Sang-i as a servant as did Yong-min. It was revealed that Yong-min is Sang-i's son.
Yong-guk captured Do-yoon and held him at gunpoint. Do-yoon told him that his father's death might possibly have been a murder. Wan-soo pulled the gun to point at her. She calmed Yong-guk down, telling him that she trusted him to not have murdered anyone.
The family gathered for the will to be read and executed. To everyone's surprise, the late Chairman left 18 trillion won for NOW and only Wan-soo could retrieve it. This is where the eighth episode of Red Swan comes to an end.
