On October 24, 2024, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs expressed gratitude to BTS' RM for his donation of 100 million KRW to the veterans' welfare fund. BTS' RM previously donated 100 million KRW on his 30th birthday

The donation will be used to enhance the well-being of veterans and their families. Namjoon, who is currently serving in the South Korean military, is scheduled for discharge in June 2025.
