BTS' RM previously donated 100 million KRW on his 30th birthday
On September 12, 2024, BTS' leader Kim Nam-joon marked his 30th birthday by donating 100 million won (approximately $74,600) to support veterans.
The donation will be used to enhance the well-being of veterans and their families. Namjoon, who is currently serving in the South Korean military, is scheduled for discharge in June 2025. His donation was part of the "Uniform Worker Appreciation Campaign," an initiative aimed at honouring individuals in professions such as the military, police, and firefighters.
The rapper expressed that the sacrifices made by those who serve inspired him to contribute to the cause. He also credited his fanbase for their constant support and love.
This isn't the first time the rapper has made such a meaningful contribution. He previously donated to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Korean Society of Legal Medicine, underscoring his long-standing commitment to social causes.
Kim Nam-joon is scheduled to be discharged from the military in June 2025. He will return to the spotlight once all seven members of the group complete their service.
