On July 15, 2024, BTS Jin participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay as one of the torchbearers to carry the Olympic Flame. An entourage of French police and other Olympic community volunteers escorted the BTS idol as the relay got underway at the Louvre Pyramid.
Jin marched with the Olympic Flame while donning a white jersey and matching trousers. Meanwhile, before the parade commenced, the idol was spotted taking a selfie with a Samsung Galaxy S24 and wearing the Galaxy Watch7. The South Korean musician uploaded those pictures on Instagram on July 15, 2024.
Consequently, Samsung saw a sharp rise in its shares by 2.73% and closed at 86,700 won (USD 62.71) by the end of July 15.

As part of the 2024 Paris Olympics Torch Relay, the Olympic Flame has continued its journey, passing through several locations in Paris, including the Louvre Pyramid. The BTS member carried the Olympic Flame across the Louvre Pyramid Museum.
The official Paris 2024 Olympic Instagram handle and X accounts released clips of Jin carrying the Olympic Flame, representing South Korea. Huge crowds gathered to see Jin carry the Olympic Flame, and fans started chanting the BTS idol's name as he marched on.
For the uninitiated, on May 8, 2024, the Olympic Flame was first lit in Olympia, Greece, and crossed Marseille on the three-masted French ship, Belem, as per traditions. The flame journeyed for three months before it reached Paris on July 15 (July 14 ET) and was carried by the BTS idol before being passed on to the next torchbearer.
The Olympic Flame will round up its journey on July 26, when it will light the opening ceremony cauldron and mark the commencement of the 2024 Summer Games.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will continue until August 11, after which the 2024 Paris Paralympics Torch Relay will begin on August 24. The 2024 Paris Paralympics will begin on August 28 with the opening ceremony and continue until September 8.
