SBS officially announced the venue details for its first-ever SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer 2024 music festival on June 13. The broadcasting network disclosed that the upcoming event would held at Inspire Arena, Incheon, on July 21, 2024. The event would be based on the concept of New Generation K-pop.

The Gayo Daejeon music festival was launched in 1997 and first aired through the Seoul Broadcasting System. The awards were provided to music artists between 1997 and 2006. The award ceremony part of the festival started in 2014 and was suspended in 2015.
It used to be held annually and as a year-end music festival since 2007. However, SBS has announced that they will organize the prestigious event twice. The summer edition of the event will be held in the initial half of 2024, while the year-end music festival will be conducted in the second half of the year.
TXT's Yeonjun and IVE's An Yu-jin will host the upcoming SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer 2024 music festival again
The South Korean media outlet Sports Chosun reported that Doyoung from NCT, TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Yeonjun, and IVE member An Yu-jin would serve as the MCs for the SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer 2024 music festival. It is not the first time TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun and IVE's An Yu-jin will host the event.
Yeonjun from TXT and An Yu-jin from IVE previously served as the MCs of the SBS Gayo Daejeon music festival together in 2023. An Yu-jin has also served as the host for SBS Gayo Daejeon 2022 alongside ASTRO member Cha Eun-woo and SHINee member Key. An Yu-jin will host SBS Gayo Daejeon for the third time, with NCT's Doyoung as the latest addition to the star-studded line-up of MCs.
TXY's Yeonjun, An Yu-jin, and NCT's Doyoung previously showcased their hosting and persuasion skills as they worked together as hosts for SBS's music program, Inkigayo.
