On June 10, television network MBC told several news agencies, including Naver, that South Korean actor and musician Seo Kang-joon will appear in an upcoming Korean drama titled Undercover High School.
Undercover High School will mark his comeback project, following his discharge from the military in May 2023. The drama will be a comedy-action series airing on MBC. At this time, there has been no official declaration regarding the release date, it is anticipated that it will premiere in 2025.

According to reports, Seo Kang-joon will portray the character of Jung Hae-sung in the new MBC drama Undercover High School. In the series, his character assumes the identity of a high school student to conceal his true role as a member of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

Alongside Jin Ki-joo and Kim Min-ju, Seo Kang-joon will also appear in the Korean drama Undercover High School. Reportedly, this drama is expected to focus on Jung Hae-sung, an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) tasked with investigating a peculiar case.
The character conceals his identity as a NIS agent and disguises himself as a high school student to discover the truth. After taking on the investigation into the gold bars belonging to Emperor Gojong, the protagonist enrolls at the high school as a student. The high school is said to have tight ties to the investigation. As per the storyline, the NIS agent forms relationships with his classmates and experiences the challenges of high school life.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Jin Ki-joo has been offered to play Oh Soo-ah, Hae-Sung's homeroom teacher. Additionally, Kim Min-ju is currently being considered for the role of Lee Ye-Na, who will play the part of the only daughter of the chairman of the high school.
