Highlights from SEVENTEEN's UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Youth Appointment Ceremony

1) Joshua's speech

As a representative of SEVENTEEN, Joshua rolled out the speech for the appointment ceremony. He talked about several things, including the group's excitement to help and interact with the youth, their emphasis on the importance of dreams, etc.

He further expressed that their journey as a K-pop group was mostly successful due to their strong companionship, and he recommended the same to the youth of this generation. He also talked about how communication and gratitude can help people overcome hardships.

Therefore, for a contribution to promote companionship, their collaborative campaign with UNESCO, Going Together, will implement the following future plans, explained Joshua:

"For the next chapter of the #GoingTogether campaign, SEVENTEEN will donate 1 million dollars to the joint global youth grand scheme with UNESCO."

2) Seungkwan stopping Hoshi's 'Horanghae' pose

The group members also rolled out a few poses when the members gathered on stage to receive their diploma certificates. Unconsciously, Hoshi made his Horanghae pose. However, given that it was a professional setting, Seungkwan soon stepped in for damage control and stopped his pose.

3) Seungkwan patting Joshua's back before his speech

Joshua, the vocal line member of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN, gave the speech at the UNESCO headquarters. His speech was representative of the other group members, and he talked about the honor of their new position in the organization and their plans for the future with their campaign, Going Together. Right before Joshua entered the podium to give his speech, Seungkwan gave him an encouraging pat on the back.

4) SEVENTEEN teaching the Korean Heart to the Director General of UNESCO

After the event, the members also clicked a few photos with the Director General of UNESCO. As they posed together, the members showed her how to do a Korean finger heart, a classic pose in Korea and among Korean celebrities.

5) S. Coups' "Your Dreams is Our Future" and other members' individual speech

After Joshua delivered his speech, the other members followed up with a line of their message. Jeonghan rolled out his speech in Japanese, The8 in Chinese, Vernon in English, and DK in Korean. S.Coups, the group's leader, was the last to share his message, and since all the members' messages were about dreams, he also maintained the same theme. He said the following in Korean:

"Your Dreams is Our Future"

Following the same, fans have not only been proud of the members' achievements but are also excited to see what they have in store for them as UNESCO's Goodwill Ambassador for Youth.
