On October 21, 2024, the Korean media publication E-Daily reported that the popularity of BLACKPINK's Rosé’s latest single APT has led to an increase in the stock prices of YG and YG PLUS shares. Reportedly, YG PLUS shares jumped by 25.3% from the previous day, while YG saw a rise of 4.65% in its value.

BLACKPINK's Rosé’s new solo track APT has been composed in collaboration with American pop singer Bruno Mars. The song was released on October 18.

For the unversed, Rosé left YG Entertainment in December 2023 to pursue her solo career as a singer. Although THEBLACKLABEL is in charge of managing Rosé's solo endeavors and collaborations, YG Entertainment continues to oversee BLACKPINK's group activities. In June 2024, Rosé officially signed with THEBLACKLABEL, an associate company of YG Entertainment.

Consequently, many fans were not thrilled that YG Entertainment reportedly benefitted from Rosé's music, as she was no longer directly associated with the label. Several fans voiced their critical remarks and thoughts online. A fan on X conveyed this sentiment and wrote:

“She doing charity”

Many used this incident to argue that YG Entertainment needs BLACKPINK for profits.

“Up until the very last minute. it's always blackpink saves that company. give respect her name!," stated a fan.
“Even when rosé is not signed on yg anymore she is still making impact on yg's. Charity queen," another fan wrote.
“Tbl is seperated from yg but album distribution is from yg plus so it automatically gave yg success.. Just like how whatever bp as solos do, blackpink as group will be powerful and profits still go to rat company and he will use that money on bitter 40 yr ajummas concerts," a fan expressed.

One fan emphasized "ROSÉ POWER," while another praised her for making such an impact while being the most "underrated" member of BLACKPINK.

”Should have been towards theblacklable but oh well... Big Rosie saving YG now," commented a fan.
“The underrated member of BLACKPINK did that,” exclaimed an X user.
“See bp power , ROSÉ POWER !!," commented another fan.

BLACKPINK's Rosé’s solo track APT ft. Bruno Mars is the pre-release song of her upcoming album Rosie

On October 1, BLACKPINK's Rosé announced the release date for her upcoming solo album Rosie via her Instagram account. The idol shared that Rosie will be released on December 6, 2024.

In another Instagram post, the K-pop idol highlighted that Rosie will be a full-length album featuring a total of twelve tracks. The latest song APT is the pre-release track of the album.

Following APT's debut on October 20, BLACKPINK's Rosé got her initial Perfect All Kill record as a solo singer. APT (featuring Bruno Mars), peaked at number one on all the major Korean music streaming platforms, including Bugs, MelOn, Genie, and FLO.

As of October 22, the official music video of APT has garnered over 80 million views on YouTube in less than a week of its release.
