BLACKPINK's Rosé shared the behind-the-scenes story of Bruno Mars’ fan-fiction story post that went viral before the release of their hit song APT. On November 28, Rosé appeared on the podcast Therapuss with Jake Shane, in an episode titled Session 46: Rosé.
The BLACKPINK member recalled the day when the Grenade singer shared a picture of the two on social media with a caption that appeared to be a fan-fiction story. She said she had warned him not to tease their collaboration song and called him twice to ensure it was not made public.
She said,
“He’s crazy, literally he joked about it and I called him twice don’t do it, you're going to get cancelled, literally don’t do it. Oh sh*t, I feel like he’s going to actually do it.”

Rosé disclosed that she had to take a flight for an overseas schedule, and while packing, she saw the Polaroid image on Bruno Mars’ Instagram page, which was posted on October 17, 2024. She was stunned to see the caption, which had a fan-fiction story.
When fans discovered that the promo was unplanned and Rosé was unaware of it, they couldn't help but laugh. Furthermore, they were also happy to hear about the bond they share.
