Shin Min-a has reportedly been offered the lead role in the upcoming drama The Remarried Empress. An official from her agency, AM Entertainment, shared this information as reported by Xports news on October 10. They stated that the actress is currently reviewing the offer.

The story of the drama is adapted from a popular romance and fantasy web novel and webtoon. It narrates the story of Navier, an empress who chooses to divorce her husband after he attempts to replace her. Rather than accepting her fate, she seeks to become an empress in a new empire.

Shin Min-a reviewing lead role as Navier in the upcoming drama The Remarried Empress: Plot overview and character details

The Remarried Empress is based on a romance and fantasy web novel of the same name by author Alphatart. The story of the web novel follows Navier, a perfect empress in a contemporary empire. Despite her excellence, the emperor declares that he no longer needs her as a partner, stating that he wants a mate rather than a colleague.

He ultimately asks for a divorce from Navier, choosing to be with his mistress by his side. This situation remains tolerable for Navier until she overhears the emperor promising his new companion the title of the next empress. After much contemplation, Navier resolves to take control of her destiny. If she cannot remain as the empress, she seeks to remarry the emperor of a neighboring country.

Shin Min-a has reportedly been offered the role of Navier, the female lead in the upcoming drama. In line with the title, Navier begins her journey by divorcing her husband, Emperor Sovies of the Eastern Empire. The story then follows her as she embarks on a new chapter, marrying King Heinrey of the Western Kingdom.

Shin Min-a recently reaffirmed her status as the "romantic comedy queen" with her portrayal of Son Hae-young in the tvN and TVING drama No Gain, No Love, which concluded on October 1.

Now her potential involvement in this fantasy drama has sparked interest. Her role in No Gain, No Love, as an ambitious woman in a contract marriage, received global acclaim, solidifying her international appeal.

Debuting in 2001 with Beautiful Days and the film Volcano High, Shin Min-a has since appeared in a range of successful dramas. Some of her works include A Love to Kill (2005), My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho (2010), Arang and the Magistrate (2012), Oh My Venus (2015), Tomorrow, With You (2017), Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021), and Our Blues (2022).

Her potential transition into the fantasy genre could mark another significant milestone in her career. Details about other cast members have not been revealed yet but the drama is set to be produced by Studio N.
