Sixpence None The Richer lead singer Leigh Nash praised BLACKPINK's Lisa for interpolating Kiss Me on her latest single track, Moonlit Floor, through her official Instagram account on September 30, 2024. The American singer and songwriter shared a screenshot of a Billboard article titled 'LISA of BLACKPINK Debuts New Song 'Moonlit Floor' at Global Citizen Fest 2024.' She captioned in the update that the band was humbled to witness their track reaching the new generation.

For those unversed, BLACKPINK's Lisa delivered an electrifying performance on her latest track, Moonlit Floor, at the Global Citizen Festival, which took place in New York City's Central Park on September 28, 2024. The female artist has been teasing Moonlit Floor through her social media handles, including TikTok, the official Instagram account of LLOUD, and others.


Leigh Nash stated that BLACKPINK's Lisa did a great job with the new version of Kiss Me

During the Global Citizen Festival, BLACKPINK's Lisa sang the interpolated chorus of Sixpence None The Richer's track Kiss Me and used the following lines, replacing the original lyrics, 'Kiss me beneath the milky twilight/Lead me out on the moonlight floor."

"Kiss me under the Paris twilight/Kiss Me out on the moonlit floor."

Subsequently, Sixpence None The Richer's singer Leigh Nash mentioned in her caption that BLACKPINK's Lisa did a great job with an interpolated chorus of Kiss Me and captioned, tagging the official account of BLACKPINK.

"It is truly humbling to see our song reaching an entirely new generation. Lisa did a great job with this version. As we head out on tour this fall, we're excited to meet some of this new generation of "Kiss Me" fans."

Meanwhile, Moonlit Floor is slated to officially premiere on October 3, 2024, through RCA Records and Sony Music. It is the second English digital single by a female artist. Previously, Lisa's own artist management and company, LLOUD, shared a snippet of the single with the caption, 'So Kiss Me' through their official Instagram account.

Additionally, Kiss Me was released on August 12, 1998, in the United States and issued in international regions in the following years. It has been American pop rock band Sixpence None the Richer's highest-charting single in the United States and charted at the No.2 position on the Billboard Hot 100. The track subsequently emerged as the country's sixth best-selling single in 1999. It has been included in the band's third studio album, Sixpence None the Richer.


In recent news, BLACKPINK's Lisa delivered an electrifying performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on tracks including New Woman (feat. Rosalia). and Rockstar on September 11, 2024. She also bagged the Best K-pop award at the prestigious ceremony, emerging as the first solo artist to win the honor for two consecutive times.
