On Sunday, October 13, following the departure announcement of RIIZE's Seunghan, his former fellow member, Wonbin, released a handwritten letter on Weverse.
The letter was directed towards BRIIZE, the K-pop boy group's fandom, and the idol talked about his regret for failing to make his fans happy, his thoughts on Seunghan's return, and how the decision was made after a lot of discussions with the company, SM Entertainment.

However, soon after the announcement regarding Seunghan's departure landed on the internet, his post was deleted from Weverse, leaving fans worried and confused about the same.
Many speculated that the group's agency, SM Entertainment, might be behind the same. Therefore, fans expressed their anger and displeasure towards SM Entertainment and their actions.
Given that fans have already been upset about Seunghan's departure, they were all the more disappointed to learn that his former fellow member's handwritten letter was removed from its original platform.

RIIZE's Wonbin pens a letter to fans following the announcement of Seunghan's departure from the K-pop boy group
On October 12, Seunghan was announced to resume his idol activities after ending his hiatus which started in November 2023. While fans and netizens were excited to welcome the K-pop idol back to his schedules with RIIZE, it was soon announced that Seunghan would be permanently leaving the K-pop boy group.
Therefore, Wonbin, the idol's former fellow member, released a letter through his Weverse account. The letter was directed to fans, and he apologized to them for the current circumstances. Here's what his letter read:
"Even as I am writing this post now, I am cautious and worried about how BRIIZE will feel when this post goes live. But I am worried that you guys would struggle more and be confused if the members don’t say a word or react to anything, hence I am writing this after having talked with the members."
He, then, continued to talk about Seunghan, his departure, and how the decision was made.
"I think that it is a given that you guys would’ve thought a lot about if Seunghan would be returning and why a sure answer wasn’t quickly given. Us, Seunghan, and the company, really talked about this for a long time. I hope that you guys realize the members have thought about this together again and again, considering this deeply."
Wonbin continued,
"I had wanted to always make all of our BRIIZE happy, but I’m sorry I am unable to do that… I know this post will not be able to erase all of your worries, but I hope that it can comfort you in your confusion, even just a little bit. Without BRIIZE, there won’t be RIIZE. I always say it, but I want to make good memories with BRIIZE and see you guys for a long time."
The idol concluded his letter by stating that he hopes for fans to love and support the group regardless of the shifts they experienced in the past year.
