On September 22, 2024, BTS' Taehyung, or V, appeared at IU's final Encore: The Winning concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium as part of her HEREH World Tour. Accompanying him was his fellow bandmate Jung Ho-seok, also known as J-Hope. The duo enjoyed the event from the VIP section, sharing several moments from the night on their official Instagram accounts.
In a clip shared by J-Hope on his Instagram story, Taehyung is seen reacting to the Love Wins All VCR displayed on the big screen. The latter appeared visibly shy and giggly, while the BTS rapper, along with other staff and friends, cheered him on.
For those unfamiliar, Taehyung is featured in the music video for Love Wins All, IU's lead single, where both artists play characters whose love story ends tragically.
Fans were particularly excited as the Singularity singer finally got to see an alternate, happier version of the video, which IU had shown in her previous concerts. In this extended version, the BTS member's character drives a car with IU sitting on his lap and embracing him, offering a much more joyful ending than the original music video.
Netizens eagerly anticipated Taehyung's reaction to seeing this lighter version live for the first time, and J-Hope's story captured that moment perfectly. Fans took to social media to express their delight. A user on X, @Taj503, wrote,
"He’s so cute! I can’t help admiring this boy! He’s a rain of sunshine! He’s the sweetest! Saluting back to you too my boy for being a role model and a good citizen of Korea!"
"That's such a heartwarming reaction, love how Taehyung's sincerity shines through in the VCR!" a fan wrote.
"Thank you jhope. I really wanted to see his reaction to the VCR," a person remarked.
"I just knew he was gonna be shy and that they were gonna tease him," another user commented.
Others also chimed in, expressing how they have missed the BTS members after they enlisted in the military in December 2023.
"Me hearing Taehyung's voice in sooo long feels like a dream," an X user mentioned.
"I'm trying to remember if this is only the 2nd time we've heard him speaking since December? I feel as if I haven't heard his voice in so long. Today is a great day," another fan added.
"I really love to see Taehyung like this, happy, healthy. His smile is so precious to me. Just by seeing his happiness, it makes my day," a fan commented.
BTS' J-Hope and Taehyung share Instagram updates after attending IU's concert in Seoul
After attending IU's performance at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, BTS members V and J-hope took to Instagram to share several highlights from the concert. Both idols posted backstage photos with IU, where they posed together for commemorative shots.
This concert marked a heartwarming reunion for both the idols and their fans, as it had been a while since the two were seen together in public. Notably, V and J-Hope previously appeared on IU’s talk show, IU’s Palette, to promote their respective solo debut albums.
J-Hope, currently in his final month of military service and set to be discharged on October 17, 2024, made fans especially happy by reuniting with V for the event. Fans were thrilled to see the two members spending quality time together despite their ongoing military duties.
Taehyung, who is reportedly part of the Special Duty Team (SDT), appeared more muscular and healthy, which had fans appreciate his noticeable physique gains. The BTS singer is scheduled to get discharged from military service in June 2025
