Word spread on June 26, 2024, that the K-pop group SEVENTEEN had a new documentary coming out as numerous fans speculated its release. As per rumors, the TV network MBC will air the first part of this special documentary in July 2024. Following the boy band's recent appointment as Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth by UNESCO, details regarding the latest documentary surfaced.

In anticipation of the K-pop group's forthcoming documentary, fans expressed their enthusiasm in an online outpour. One fan commented,

"OMG THE SEVENTEEN DOCUMENTARY!!!! ... lrt it said it will be shown on july 5, 8:40 pm kst? so excited!!!!"

Many other reactions were on social media platforms, and many even reminisced over their previous documentary, titled Hit The Road.

MBC plans to release a documentary on the K-pop group SEVENTEEN

The poster sharing the synopsis of the K-pop boy group's upcoming MBC documentary reads,

"What is your brightest moment? A glimpse into the new culture of the K-pop industry through the magical moments created by idols and fandom, and the records of Seventeen and the fandom "Carat"! K-pop artist Stro is the group Seventeen who reached the top with the highest-selling single album of all time! Their growth was fueled by the fandom "Carat""

It continues as follows:

"A special documentary that sheds light on the K-pop industry through the performance culture enjoyed by Seventeen and fans, who are making a new start with 2024 Nissan Stadium Tour in Japan."

The first part of this documentary will reportedly air on Friday, July 5, at 8:40 pm KST.

For the uninitiated, this isn't the first documentary of the music group. The debut documentary by the band is Hit The Road, and it aired on Weverse and their official YouTube channel. There were 15 episodes in this series, all of which were released between May and June 2020.

Following this, the boy band released another movie, Power of Love, in 2022. Scenes from the band's live concerts, interviews that have never been released before, and several behind-the-scenes stories made up this cinematic love letter to their fans.

In addition to the documentary release details, the thirteen members of the boy band were named the inaugural Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth by Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, on June 26, 2024.

An ambitious collaborative grant initiative for youth projects around the world called "Going Together - For Youth Creativity and Well-Being" was revealed. The K-pop boy band will contribute one million dollars to fund this endeavor.

South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN was created by Pledis Entertainment. S.Coups, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Jeonghan, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino make up the thirteen-member group.

Since its debut on May 26, 2015, the group's extended play (EP) 17 Carat has topped US K-pop album charts for a long period and is notable for being the sole rookie album to be included in Billboard's "10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2015" list.
