On June 26, 2024, SEVENTEEN's sub-unit, BSS, made headlines as its song, FIGHTING (feat. Lee Young Ji), was selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics Team Korea cheer song. Digital Daily reported that South Korea's beer brand, Cass, was named the official Olympics beer ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN's sub-unit BSS stands for BooSeokSoon and comprises Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi. The name is an amalgamation of the three members' real names. The sub-unit released its first single album, Second Wind, in February 2023, including the song FIGHTING (feat. Lee Young Ji).

Cass plans to launch a video service using artificial intelligence (AI) to encourage people through the "Cheers Sound" digital campaign. Fans may use AI technology to create a video featuring member BooSeokSoon's AI voice that will automatically generate a cheer phrase.

They can enter the name and content of the person they want to send a support message to via the event page of the official CASS website.

SEVENTEEN's BSS unit makes history by contributing to the 2024 Paris Olympics with their song

For the unversed, Oriental Brewery (OB) acquired the Cass brand from Jinro-Coors in 1999. They became the first beer brand to get officially selected for the Olympics.

Vice President Seo Hye-yeon of OB told Digital Daily News about the importance of personalized experiences and their vision of using SEVENTEEN's BSS's AI-generated voice to create a unique experience for fans.

"What the younger generation considers important these days is a personalized experience. Through this collaboration with BooSeokSoon, we focused our marketing on digital platforms." (as reported by Digital Daily)

He continued:

"What beer and the Olympics have in common is ‘the power to unite.' At the Olympics, which is a festival of unity for the team, the country, and humanity, Cass will deliver a message of unity for Team Korea."

In other news, BSS (DK, Hoshi, and Seugkwan) was formed in 2018 and debuted with their single Just Do It. The trio released their first single album, Second Wind, in 2023, which includes the tracks FIGHTING (feat. Lee Young Ji), LUNCH, and 7pm (feat. Peter Elias).

The sub-unit also performed The Reasons of My Smiles, an original soundtrack (OST) for the popular Netflix drama Queen of Tears, starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won.
