On January 2, 2025, the South Korean media outlet Top News reported that the SEVENTEEN would release a new album and embark on a world tour to commemorate the band's tenth debut anniversary.

According to the publication, there would be restrictions on full-group activities as some members were scheduled to enlist in the military in the first half of 2025. The agency also planned to curate a strategy to decrease the gap through activities of unit groups, including BSS and Hoshi-Woozi.

The latest news circulated on social media and went viral among the fandom. They could not contain their excitement, and an X user tweeted:

"new album, world tour, members enlistment, booseoksoon and howoo comeback... so many things happening this 2025."

The fandom stated they would be elated to see SEVENTEEN in Europe for a world tour. Some even expressed their desire to get the tickets for the band's forthcoming world tour:

"As a european carat I will be so happy if they coming to Europe for a tour especially after lollapalooza but as a carat I want them to rest at least 2 months let them have some free time and then I will be happy to see them go active again but first a break is a must, we are here," a fan reacted.
"Wow! SEVENTEEN! It's already our 10th anniversary. This year's world tour? Really? I need to get a ticket this time. It's picking a star in the sky," a fan shared.
"Quotes really need to understand that it’s their 10th anniversary, they probably want to spend it with carats like last time, may b with few stops for it. I believe it’s solely because of their anniversary. Think guys, let’s respect if that’s their decision and support," a fan commented.

Another individual remarked:

"The other half of 2025 is gonna hit different—only 8 members left promoting. That’s already a full group for some artists…Maybe new units among the 8,117 possible combos and solo albums for the remaining members?! It’s gonna be a whole new era for SEVENTEEN and I’m excited."

Many fans also stated that SEVENTEEN needed to take some rest from their hectic schedule.

"some members are scheduled to enlist in the first half of 2025... first heartbreak in 2025 i will never be prepared , though i really hope seventeen can get rest before their 10th anniversary w/ a sucessful bss & soonhoon comeback..ready for more healthy seventeen this yr," a user reacted.
"It's not saying 'new world tour'it's saying 'world tour' because the world tour is still ongoing. They will definitely hold an encore concert and release a new album to celebrate the anniversary. Maybe they have already recorded it and will release it before the next enlistment," a user shared.
"WHAT A WAY TO WELCOME 2025 A NEW ALBUM??! ENLISTMENT, BSS COMEBACK AND HOWOO COMEBACK??!!," a user commented.

Another user mentioned:
