On Thursday, November 14, BTS' Jungkook was featured on IFPI's recent Global Performing Rights Committee meeting. The IFPI held its Global Performing Rights Committee (PRC) in London this week, where influential artists in contemporary music were recognized.
Music licensing and record companies from over 40 countries attended the event, and attendees also shared their thoughts on the growth of performance rights and other industry technology updates. During the same, fans were elated and proud to spot BTS' Jungkook, who was featured for the success he achieved as a solo artist.
Following this, the idol was praised by fans and netizens for his recent recognition. Given that IFPI is an honorable and renowned organization, fans were elated to see the idol's impact and influence acknowledged by such well-established institutions. Jungkook, also known as Jeon Jung-kook, is a 27-year-old K-pop idol who debuted under BigHit Entertainment in 2013 as a member of BTS. The idol stands as the main vocalist of the group. Alongside his roles within BTS, the idol has also released a few solo tracks through BTS albums, including Euphoria, My Time, and more.
Additionally, he also released an independent song in 2020 called Still With You for FESTA, the group's debut anniversary. However, it wasn't until 2023 that the idol officially started his solo career. He debuted with the single, SEVEN feat. Latto was released in July 2023, and he followed this release with a solo album in November 2023 called GOLDEN.
The idol also released another single called 3D feat. Jack Harlow, and put forth one more FESTA song for ARMYs called, Never Let Go this year. While the idol has not rolled out many solo tracks this year, he has been active in other ways. He rolled out an exhibition of his solo album, GOLDEN: The Moments, between October and November.
