It revealed that the BTS member participated in the Ministry of Unification's 2024 Ulchi Exercise alongside the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) and US forces.
For those unfamiliar with the event, US and South Korean military forces commenced a large-scale exercise designed to enhance their joint defense capabilities in response to the nuclear threat posed by North Korea. The Ulchi Freedom Shield exercises, which spanned 11 days until August 29, involved computer-simulated war scenarios and over 40 field exercises, including live-fire drills.

The BTS member was among the 19,000 South Korean military personnel who participated in these drills, which were conducted alongside civil defense and evacuation exercises. Fans of the idol took to social media to praise him. A user on X, @DailylofV, wrote,
