On Sunday, August 11, BTS' Jin gave a special treat to his fans by sharing behind-the-scenes footage of his 2024 Olympic torchbearer journey. This 10-minute video was released on the official YouTube channel of BANGTAN TV. Jin, aka Kim Seokjin, was an attendee to this torchbearer tradition, representing his country at the global event. The torchbearer relay officially began on July 15.
The release of this behind-the-scenes video garnered much attention from both the singer’s fans and other social media users. Fans flooded the internet with love and admiration for Jin. One of them even wrote:

BTS' Jin represented South Korea at 2024 Paris Olympics torchbearer ceremony held on July 15
Kim Seokjin was a spark at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Awake singer took on the role as South Korea's representative during the ceremony.
The most recent behind-the-scenes footage of him begins as he gets ready for the ceremony. As he made his way to the event, the crowd erupted in cheers and sang his hit song Super Tuna, which brought a grin to Jin's face.
As the first torchbearer, the singer started the relay on July 15 with the Olympic light in his right hand. With this, he has made history as the first Korean idol to carry the Olympics torch. Jin of BTS showed up in a sharp white outfit.
In his behind-the-scenes video, BTS' Jin expressed his gratitude for being there. He said that this became possible only because he was a part of the popular boy band.
“I'm not an athlete or someone representing my country but ARMY made it possible for me to become a torchbearer, so l wanted you to know how grateful I am I wanted to say thank you for allowing me to be here in such an honorable place.”
Seokjin became the first BTS member to finish his mandatory military service following his release on June 12, 2024. He served in the military for 18 months.
As of the time of writing, remaining members of the top-tier K-pop boy band are currently serving their time in military duty and they are all expected to be back by 2025.
Following his discharge from the military, BTS' Jin is currently working on his vlog series titled Run Jin. This series is prepared to air on August 13, at 9 PM KST on BANGTAN TV’s YouTube channel.
