On November 24, BTS' Taehyung released the first teaser of his upcoming track Winter Ahead via the official YouTube channel of HYBE Labels. Subsequently, the second teaser of his song came out on November 26. Both teasers offered several glimpses of the idol’s Winter Ahead MV.
The first video showed him as dull and lonely, while in the second teaser, he appeared happy. BTS' Taehyung’s fans got confused following the launch of the second teaser as the themes of both preview videos were completely opposite.
Owing to contrasting concepts, fans swamped the internet with their theories and thoughts about the storyline of BTS' Taehyung’s upcoming Winter Ahead music video. One fan on X stated:

Many other fans shared their theories and perspectives about the two teasers. While one said that teasers seemed like in the middle of “Halloween and Christmas,” another added that BTS’ V must be going through a “psychological breakdown” after losing his partner in the music video.

“It seems like teaser 1 is bout his reality, current trauma he is going through and teaser 2 is bout his warm past / an alternative universe that he keeps remembering. Maybe he lost the love of his life? Maybe he is currently trying to deal with the loss of a loved one?,” another fan stated.

BTS' Taehyung’s Winter Ahead is slated for release on November 29
Following the rollout of teasers, Kim Taehyung's, aka V's, solo song, Winter Ahead, is set to be premiered on November 29, 2024, at 2 pm KST. V collaborated on the track with popular singer Park Hyo-shin.
BigHit Music explained the soundtrack's message in a Weverse notification dated November 21:
“Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)” is a jazz-pop song with a heavy vibe that showcases the peaceful voice colors of the two artists. The song sings that happiness can be found in being with someone on your side.”
Currently, BTS' Taehyung is undergoing South Korea's mandatory military service. His service began in December 2023 and is expected to conclude in June 2025.
