BTS’ Kim Tae-hyung, aka V's fans, were enraged when retailers allegedly left out his mini Mattel figurine in a toy machine. Recently, on December 5, a netizen took to the platform TheQoo to share some images of a toy machine with BTS members' mini figurines, which were created in collaboration with Mattel and represent the group's song IDOL.
According to the image shared by the netizen on TheQoo, only six figurines were allegedly displayed on the toy machine. This enraged many fans, as V's mini-doll was missing, and the poster also did not include the image of the doll.
This sparked a huge debate online as some netizens argued that the BTS’ V's mini-doll was allegedly sold out following its release in 2019. Notably, it is unclear whether the toy machine was set up officially by the agency and Mattel or by a fan.
On the other hand, some speculated that his agency BIGHIT MUSIC deliberately left out V's doll from the toy machine and criticized them for not putting a sign showcasing the status of the product. They took to social media to express their anger regarding the BTS’ V’s Mattel dolls's recent incident.
“Sold out or not they should have included it in the machine.”- a fan said
“They should atleast include it and put that "sold out" poster like they do many times, but that's clearly not same thing. They are deliberately excluding him,”- another fan said.
“Hmm it says "its not included" not "sold out" also the machine looks designed for 6 only so idk,”- a user reacted.
Fans pointed out that the distributors of the product should have mentioned whether the figurine was sold out, to avoid further confusion.
“I think Tae's obviously sold out, company should write "sold out" instead of just writing "V isn't available" but that's how petty and losers they are when it comes to tae,”- a fan said.
“Oh. K-kths are saying it's a five year old stock. The didn't make new ones. The reason V's isn't there is because his it's sold out and isn't available,”- a fan wrote.
“I assumed that V's figurine was sold out and accdg to the OP, they also post the same thing. The last availability of V figurine was last 2019.That's the reason why the random gacha doesn't have Tae because it's already out of stock/sold out,”- a user stated.
Fans also expressed their anger at BIGHIT MUSIC for the alleged mismanagement of the product.
“can they make it clear if tae still part of member bts or not? bcs the disrespect they do towards him so annoying asf,”- a user commented.
“Where’s V?? Why is he the only one missing from everywhere??! Can’t they just declare that Taehyung left BTS already??!”- a fan stated.
“It seems minor, but it’s about that company trying to erase him and normalizing it as they always do. As long as he is with that company, I always demand for a fair, equal and respectful treatment for V!”- another user comment.
