On Thursday, October 17, Rolling Stone released the Musicians on Musicians interview between BLACKPINK's Lisa and the South African singer-songwriter, Tyla. The two artists spent an interview session where they asked each other questions about their lives, careers, and more. At one point, Tyla asked Lisa if she had struggled with being well-known and recognizable in public.
Tyla asked, "Is it difficult being in the position that you are, being known by so many people?"
To this, the K-pop idol replied by stating that the lack of privacy is a major issue. She talked about how there are times when she'd want to have time for herself, without being surrounded by people trying to take pictures or interact with her. Therefore, she expressed that her position can sometimes become stressful due to the same.
Here's what she said:
"There’s no privacy. You can tell right now with you as well. If you go somewhere, people just put the phone right in front of your face. Sometimes you’re not ready to have your photo taken. Sometimes you want to be with a bare face, with your pajamas, go out and eat. That’s the thing that is a little tough for me sometimes, but I get used to it."

On October 17, Lisa and Tyla sat together for a talk with each other with Rolling Stone. The two conversed about various things and also shared a few anecdotes. Lisa explained that the two first met in Los Angeles.
Tyla was aware that the idol was in the same city through a mutual that both the artists work with. Therefore, the two decided to meet up. The Moonlit Floor singer shared that Tyla played her then-upcoming album for her. They bonded over the same, and have been good friends ever since.
The idol also shared that she first came to know about Tyla through her song Water. The rapper shared that she was impressed by Tyla and began to follow her music and content after coming across the viral Water dance challenge videos.
Tyla, on the other hand, shared that she's known about Lisa for a long time and revealed that the rapper stands as her favorite BLACKPINK member.
Here's what she said:
"Like girl, you in BLACKPINK, like you were my favorite. You brought some edge to the group. So cool, like your rapping, and just the way you moved and the way you dressed was so cool. Like me and my best friend would watch your performance videos all the time."
On the other hand, Lisa also showered the 22-year-old with compliments. She shared that her favorite songs by the Grammy winner are Jump, Art, and No. 1.
Tyla and the BLACKPINK member recently performed on the same stage at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. As the fashion event celebrated its grand return after a six-year hiatus, the two artists joined the supermodels as they walked the VS fashion show.
