During a Weverse Live broadcast on October 10, BTS' Jin shared with his fans that he recently caught a massive tuna. Moreover, he officially announced the upcoming release of a new version of his song Super Tuna, which is set to drop on October 11, 2024, at 1 pm KST.

In the livestream, the K-pop idol revealed a picture of himself with the fish on his phone, giving fans a sneak peek of the fish, which he estimated to be around 180 cm long. He proudly said that it was indeed a tuna.

Fans were amused at the coincidental timing, right before the second part of his Super Tuna song release, and joked about the fish being the same height as BTS' leader, RM, who also stands at 180 cm.

BTS member Jin's livestream featured Super Tuna cake and balloons for announcing his song's extended version release

BTS member Jin went live on Weverse for one of his first broadcasts since his discharge from the military, much to the delight of ARMY. Dressed in a cozy purple night suit, he initially appeared to wish Jimin an early happy birthday. However, the livestream took an unexpected turn as he made a surprise announcement about an extended version of Super Tuna.

During the live, he shared that this new version of his song would be released the next day, causing excitement among fans. He even showcased a new cover poster and teased a snippet of a special video he had prepared to accompany the track's release. To add to the celebration, the singer had a customized Super Tuna cake and festive balloons ready for the occasion.

But what truly stunned fans was the real-life tuna fish story. He shared how some of his friends doubted the fish was real, thinking the image had been photoshopped. He reassured viewers that the catch was genuine, explaining that the fish was maybe around 110 cm, though he humorously speculated that it might have been as large as 180 cm, the same height as his bandmate RM.

Jin added that the entire process of catching the tuna had been recorded, and he planned to share the footage later. Fans were both amused and impressed, noting how fitting it was that he caught a massive tuna out of all fishes, aligning with the theme of his iconic song.

Moreover, Jin talked briefly about Jimin’s upcoming birthday and j-hope’s soon-to-be military discharge. The original Super Tuna was first released on December 4, 2021, on Jin's birthday, and he even performed it during BTS Festa 2024.
