On October 7, South Korean media outlet Nocut News reported that the Ministry of Employment and Labor summoned the female former ADOR employee who accused Min Hee-jin of allegedly covering up a workplace s*xual harassment incident. After recording the victim's statement, the Labor Office plans to summon Min Hee-jin for questioning.
According to the official statement by the former ADOR employee, who is also a victim of workplace harassment, she highlighted that Min Hee-jin tries to defame her. The victim continued that the former ADOR CEO "intervened in the investigation to cover up" reports of s*xual harassment.
"Min Hee Jin intervened in the investigation to cover up reports of s*xual harassment and bullying in the workplace, spread false information by exposing my KakaoTalk without my consent, and hurled insults at me behind my back."
The victim further stated at the Ministry of Employment and Labor hearing that when she asked for an apology, Min Hee-ji slandered her by publicly disclosing her salary receipts. She continued,
"When I demanded a public apology, all I got in return was the disclosure of my annual salary, slandering me with words such as 'You didn't do your job,' 'You're a high school student,' and 'You enjoyed drinking too,' and Person B filed a criminal defamation suit against me."
More about Min Hee-jin and ADOR's former female employee's s*xual harassment investigation
Min Hee-jin was reportedly accused of favoring Executive A while ignoring the victim's pleas. For the unversed, the victim was taken to a restaurant by ADOR's executive "Mr. A", where he told the victim to spend time with the client as the latter is important for the business. Mr. A abruptly then left the employee alone with the client at the restaurant.
The victim later reported the incident to HYBE but the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence. Min Hee-jin claimed that she allegedly "scolded" Mr. A and allegedly tried to mitigate the matter between him and the victim. However, the victim resigned from the label and claimed that Min Hee-jin tried to intimidate her. As a result, Min Hee-jin released the victim's salary slips and KakaoTalk chat online.
The victim then lodged a criminal complaint against Min Hee-jin for defamation and privacy breach. Nocut News reported that after the former ADOR employee's (victim) statement was recorded, the investigation is being reviewed.
The victim also filed a complaint against Min Hee-jin under defamation and violation of the Personal Information Protection Act.
Meanwhile, the Labor Office stated,
"We need to also receive and review the results of the ‘internal investigation’ conducted by the company at the time. We will decide whether to summon former CEO Min and others based on this."
The Labor Office also found that the Mapo Police Station in Seoul previously had summoned the victim in September 2024 for interrogation. Meanwhile, the former ADOR CEO refuted allegations of tampering with the workplace harassment reports.
Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin asserted her neutrality and said the victim quit because of her poor performance rather than harassment at work.
