Following the announcement on July 29, five out of the thirteen members of SEVENTEEN, Hoshi, The8, DK, Wonwoo, and Jun, took to their Weverse account. In their posts, they apologized to their Beijing fans regarding the recent change of plans. Additionally, they also expressed that they want CARATs to be safe from the heat conditions in Beijing.

Soon after this, Yizhiyu Entertainment released a statement clearly explaining the situation. Here's what the statement read:

"We regret to inform you that due to a sudden malfunction of the plane at the departure airport after the artists arrived at the airport, and after extensive communication and coordination, it was still not possible to temporarily replace the plane. As a result, the members could not arrive in Beijing on time."

The statement continued:

"Prioritizing the safety of the artists, after careful consideration, we regret to inform you that the SEVENTEEN Beijing offline fansign event scheduled for July 29 has to be postponed. We will notify you of the rescheduled time as soon as possible."

They concluded with:

"Due to the hot weather in Beijing, we advise fans who have not yet arrived at the signing location to arrange their return journey as soon as possible. After careful deliberation and communication, for the fans who traveled specifically for the Beijing offline fansign event, we will reimburse the costs incurred from canceling transportation and accommodation."

While some fans have been upset about the cancellation, they were happy to learn that the SEVENTEEN members are safe and sound in Korea. Additionally, given that the event is simply postponed and not canceled with the agency reimbursing the fans' expenses on both travel and accommodation, netizens have been much more settled about the issue.
