"Still expect us to not ship”— Fans react to Yoo Yeon-seok's query on Hae Nam-joon's ideal type between Soobin & Gyuri on When the Phone Rings sets

On December 27, behind-the-scenes clips of the ongoing mystery romance drama When the Phone Rings were shared via MBC Network’s Instagram account. In one sequence from the sets, the male protagonist, Yoo Yeon-seok, casually asks Hae Nam-joon (Sang-woo) whether his ideal type is Hee-joo or Yu-ri.

Chae Soo-bin portrays the female protagonist, Hong Hee-Joo, in the series, while Jang Gyu-ri plays the role of Na Yu-ri.

Nam-joon selected Yu-ri as his answer to Yeon-seok's question. The latter once more verified whether the former's reply was Yu-ri and not Soo-bin. Simultaneously, Nam-joon posed the same question related to Yeon-seok's feelings. Yeon-seok grinned, evaded Nam-joon's question, and both actors laughed at their conversation. This dialogue and Yeon-seok's final reaction became popular online.
