On August 27, 2024, the South Korean media outlet Xports News confirmed that the upcoming music variety program Synchro U would be released on September 16, 2024, at 6:40 pm KST during the Chuseok holiday. Subsequently, from the second episode onwards, the program would premiere every Monday at 8:30 pm KST.
The upcoming music program Synchro U would feature talented and versatile artists and singers performing multiple cover songs with artificial intelligence. The cast members have to find the real singers with natural vocals in the show.
According to the website, the official synopsis of the show is as follows:
"Variety music show that finds fantastic cover stages performed by top artists whose voices are business cards in a stage with a 99% synchronization rate created by AI."
SEVENTEEN Hoshi, aespa's Karina, and others to join the upcoming show Synchro U
KBS confirmed the MC line-up of the upcoming music program Synchro U through the outlet. The prominent artists joining the show include Lee Juck, Lee Yong-jin, SEVENTEEN's Hoshi, Jonathan, aespa's Karina, and MC Yoo Jae-suk. It should be noted that Jonathan has replaced BTOB’s Yook Sungjae from the original MC line-up of the upcoming show.
The maknae line-up of Synchro U includes SEVENTEEN Hoshi, aespa's Karina, and Jonathan. With their onscreen chemistry, fans expect the trio to provide comical relief. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Lee Juck and singer Lee Yong-jin will join the senior MC line-up, where the duo is expected to deliver some electrifying performances.

SynchroU Pilot aired pilot episodes in May. The mystery and comedy music variety program featured two episodes of one hour and nineteen minutes duration. The show was also known by the names Synchro You Pilot and Singkeuroyu Pailreot. It was available to stream on the domestic platform Wavve.
Hoshi, also known as Kwon Soon-young, is a member of the South Korean group SEVENTEEN, managed by Pledis Entertainment. He served as the leader of the band's performance team and is part of subunit BSS (BooSeokSoon). He dropped his first solo mixtape, Spider, on April 2, 2021.
Karina, also known as Yu Ji-min, is the leader and member of the girl group aespa, managed by the agency SM Entertainment. She has also been associated with the supergroup Got the Beat, which debuted on January 3, 2022.
