On January 6, 2025, Park Hyo-shin appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U Kim Eana's Starry Night talk show, where he talked about BTS' V's Winter Ahead. Park Hyo-shin and Kim Taehyung released their duet on November 29, 2024.

During the conversation, Park Hyo-shin recounted the story of Winter Ahead, created with BTS' V, and highlighted his experiences filming the music video. Initially, the two vocalists encountered each other without the intention to collaborate on a song.

However, after several additional meetings, the idea of collaboration emerged organically. He disclosed that, notwithstanding a significant age gap, he frequently conversed about music with BTS' V.

"I didn't expect that there would be such a big age difference between Taehyung and me and that we would become close enough to talk a lot about music. However, Taehyung had more musical empathy than I thought. Whether we were having a drink or casually meeting somewhere, we naturally ended up talking about music, and as a result, discussions about our work became more natural as well."

He went on to say that in the beginning, he just gave advice to Taehyung in the making of his solo album, which eventually led to their duet song Winter Ahead.

"At first, it wasn't about singing 'Winter Ahead' together. It started with me helping and giving advice when Taehyung was preparing for his solo album, and then we ended up singing together. Before I got close to Taehyung, I never thought about collaborations, but once we became friends, I started to think, Why not?” and it became easier to proceed."

In the talk show, Park Hyo-shin was also asked about his experience filming the music video with Taehyung. To this, Hyo-shin said they had drinks and food in the Cinematic Still version of Winter Ahead.

"When we were filming the cinematic music video for 'Winter Ahead,' we actually had dinner and drank wine. We started with white wine at first, but then we switched to red wine in the later part, but that's because I drank all that white wine."

For those unaware, the Cinematic Still version of Winter Ahead was released on November 30, 2024, following the drop of the original music video on November 29. In the Cinematic Still version, BTS' V and Park Hyo-shin sang their lines of the song one by one while enjoying their lavish dinner on the table. Currently, the video has garnered over 3.1 million views on YouTube.

BTS' V is serving his term in the military following his enlistment in December 2023. He is reported to be released in June 2025. In addition to Winter Ahead, Taehyung released a recreated version of Bing Crosby's White Christmas song on December 6, 2024.
