The multiverse dark drama Tarot: Stories of 7 Cards, starring Jo Yeo-jeong, Park Ha-sun, Dex, and many others, made its premiere on July 15 on U+mobiletv, with new episodes premiering every Monday and Tuesday. The drama has seven chapters, each telling a unique tale about seven characters who are handed their tarot cards.
The characters in Tarot embark on a dark and scary journey to solve the mysteries surrounding the cards. In all seven episodes (Santa's Visit, Phishing, Single Locker, Please Throw It Away, Rent Mom, Going Home, and Couple Manager), the characters are seen getting a tarot card, following which their circumstances worsen.
The tales of Jun-sa, a streamer who tricks guys on dating apps and exposes their private information, and Kyeong-rae, a man who takes a late-night cab, were featured in the fifth and sixth episodes of Tarot.
The cards predict terrible events, and they both go on a frightening trip. The seventh episode of Tarot, which aired on August 5, features Jae-yoon, played by Seo Ji-hoon, receiving the The Hermit: Wisdom and Introspection card.
Tarot Episode 7 recap: Who is the woman communicating with Jae-yoon?
Episode 7 of Tarot starts with Jae-yoon refusing to flirt with girls in a club. Here, he finds the Hermit Tarot card. He finally gets a room with a woman but does not proceed any further. Jae-yoon is an introverted student who has trouble socializing with people.
He changes, keeps his shirt in a locker, and heads to a salon where he works as a hairdresser. A client takes his number to contact him about the perm she just got.
While coming back, he finds strands of hair on his shirt inside the locker but does not pay much attention to it. At home, he gets a text from the client telling him that he messed up her hair. Right after, his friend calls him and asks him to come for a double date.
While on his way, he decides to check the locker and finds strands of hair there again. He is uninterested in the date and, when he returns, leaves a small diary with a note in the locker. He starts communicating with a woman, apparently from another world, who also has access to the locker. They talk about their worlds through the diary.
To get to know each other better, they start recording their voices. The woman's name is Ji-oh. She even gives him directions to his house and he reciprocates by sharing the location of the park he sits at when he feels lonely.
However, suddenly, she stops communicating. His seniors also prank him with a doll head in his salon locker. The client is back for a haircut, and Jae-yoon accidentally hurts her ear.
The woman finally responds, and they speak about their loneliness and how they cannot meet each other in reality. The woman comes up with a plan to meet. They will open the door of the locker exactly at 12 o'clock at night. Jae-yoon follows and finds a passage that opens up through the locker into the other world.
On the other side, he desperately searches for Ji-oh, who has now moved to his world and closed the locker, trapping Jae-yoon in the other world. It is then revealed that Ji-oh had somehow managed to travel into this world and was unable to get out. Waiting for a long time, she had left strands of her hair in the locker which Jae-yoon later opened.
Viewers can find many connections in episode 7 to the other episodes, such as Throw It Away. The restaurant that Jae-yoon eats at is the same one where Dong-in goes to take delivery from in.
The Couple Manager poster is also mentioned in the episode. The park where Jae-yoon goes to record his voice is the same one where Sun-ju pranks her date. This episode concludes the Tarot series.
