BTS' RM appreciated fans who attended his documentary premiere
RM’s (Namjoon) documentary Right People, Wrong Place premiered for the first time at the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in an outdoor theater setting. Despite heavy rains and strong winds, dedicated fans braved the adverse weather to watch the first-ever K-pop documentary to debut at this prestigious event.
The festival praised the film, describing it as:
“A making-of-album film and a very special journal of youth.”
The film’s creative team, including director Lee Seok-joon, assistant director Im Soo-bin, and music director Junkyard (JNKYRD), represented the project in Namjoon's absence. In a touching second Instagram story, the idol reposted a thank-you speech by director Lee Seok-joon.
In the speech, Lee expressed his deep gratitude to the audience and everyone who supported him, both directly and indirectly, stating that their influence allowed him to create the film. He said:
"Thank you to those who came all the way to Busan and to those who have supported me, both directly and indirectly, through traditional cinema. You’ve had a great influence on my life, and I am truly grateful. Thanks to you, I was able to make this film well. To everyone who participated or watched today, thank you. This is a film made by all of you. Thank you."
In his third and final story, RM shared details about the global release of the documentary, which is set for December 2024. This documentary provides an intimate glimpse into his life during the eight months leading up to his military enlistment in December 2023.
It documents not only his creative process but also his personal reflections and emotional journey during this transitional period. Fans eagerly await this rare insight into RM’s world, as it promises to be a personal and revealing experience for both casual viewers and long-time supporters of the BTS leader.
