BTS’ j-hope penned a heartfelt letter for fans on the ARMY anniversary, shared by BIGHIT MUSIC on X. On July 9, BTS announced their official fandom name, ARMY, marking a special day celebrated by both the fans and the K-pop boy group.

On this occasion, j-hope shared a letter along with an old, unseen image featuring all seven members wishing ARMYs a happy birthday. According to the post, this was the last letter the BTS rapper had written before enlisting in the military in April 2023.

He wrote:

"In many ways, I wanted you to be able to feel my warmth while I was serving, and during this enlistment period, so I prepared a lot of different things but… How did you like it all?? Hehe Were you able to feel all the sincerity and love I put in?? Hahaha."

The BTS member expressed his gratitude towards the fans, stating:

"The one thing that I think will remain unchanged is my love for you all!! I will be loving and cherishing you, as always, To our ARMYs, who have made us more 'us'!! Thank you for existing!! I will come to you soon, in good health." translated by @BTS_Trans on X

The MORE singer has previously shared several letters to express his love for the fans while he was away serving in the military.

BTS’ j-hope shares an unseen old OT7 photo, surprising fans online

BTS member j-hope, who is currently serving in the military, shared a letter on ARMY Day with a birthday cake illustrated on it. He also posted an OT7 photograph showing RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, Jungkook, and himself posing together with a scenic background. Netizens quickly noticed that the photograph appeared to come out of an envelope placed beside the letter.

Many speculated that the image could not have been taken recently, as all the members have short haircuts due to South Korean military protocol. Fans pointed out that Suga's blonde hair, visible in the photo, indicated that it was an old image.

On July 9, the Arson singer also shared an image of himself on Instagram wearing sunglasses. This photo has gained popularity among BTS fans, as he has previously used it as a meme to write his stage name, which was shared on the official X page of the K-pop boy group back in 2021.

This time, the image indicated that there are only 100 days remaining for j-hope’s military discharge, as he is expected to return in October 2024. The D-1 was written on the side of his face, and the sunglasses represent the two zeros in the 100.

Additionally, his fellow BTS member Jin reacted to the news of 100 days until j-hope's discharge on Weverse:

"Hey Hobi, you said there are 100 days left. Since then, each day feels like 48 hours. Hahaha, it's true."

Previously, j-hope was seen in public during the military discharge of BTS' eldest member Jin on June 12, 2024. He was seen with RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do province.
